Virginia Louise (Blaser) Seberg
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother

Virginia Louise Seberg (AKA/Gini/GG), age 88, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, with loving family by her side. Born on September 27, 1936, in Columbus, Nebraska, Gini was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and friend, whose warmth, kindness, and generous spirit touched many lives.

Gini attended the University of Nebraska, where she met and married John G. Seberg. In 1958, the family moved to Colorado, where Gini would spend the rest of her life. After her divorce in 1972, she began her career as a dedicated administrative assistant at Wheat Ridge Congregational Church and Lakewood Presbyterian Church. For thirty-three years, Gini made a lasting impact as a chaplain with Hospice of St. John’s in Lakewood, CO, offering compassion, comfort, and care to countless families.

Her wide-ranging interests included membership in the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club, the Colorado Ghost Town Club, and various book clubs. She was also passionate about crafts, always creating with her hands. Above all, Gini cherished the bond she shared with her beloved cats, whose companionship brought her immense joy and comfort.

Gini was preceded in death by her parents, Edward R. and Helen Louise (Lund) Blaser; her sisters, Jerry Oerter (Trent) and Claire Everett; her daughter, Sandy Busbey; and her grandson, Zachary Seberg. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Seberg (Tina) and Glenn Seberg (Karen); son-in-law, Mike Busbey (Ann Carol); and her grandchildren, Christina Swain (Dave), Nick Busbey, Michelle Seberg, Ryan Seberg (Ayla), Elizabeth Seberg, and Patrick Seberg.

Gini’s legacy of love, kindness, and service to others will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in her honor at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Lakewood United Church of Christ, 100 Carr St., Lakewood, CO 80026. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rocky Mtn. Leukemia Society.

Guestbook

  1. I met Gini when she was at Lakewood Presbyterian Church with Pastor Larry and then continued to work with her at Hospice of St. John when I owned Stork Family Mortuary. She was so compassionate and caring for all the patients and their families. It was a true blessing to have known and worked with her serving families at a very difficult time. My condolences to the family. Jim Stork

  2. I met Gini when I worked at HOSJ. We remained friends for almost 20 years before she left this earth. Nancy True, Claire Norde and I would visit Gini regularly for lunch and fellowship. I agree with Mr. Stork that Gini was so kind, compassionate and caring for all of her patients and families… and toward her friends. She was a true light in the darkness. She will always be close to my heart. I love you Gini! Deedee Caldwell
