Alison Charlotte Van Gulick, born March 22, 1936, in New York, New York, passed away on May 7, 2026, at the age of 90, when she went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was the daughter of Walter and Charlotte Keeley and the sister of Lon Keeley. For 70 years, she shared her life with her devoted husband, Robert Van Gulick. Together, they raised two sons, Jeffrey and Peter, and she was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren.
Alison’s vibrant life included a career as a womenswear buyer for Mercantile department stores, where she showcased her impeccable taste, love of fashion, and dedication. She also spent many years working as a real estate agent. In 1965, she was crowned Mrs. New Jersey and went on to compete in the Mrs. America pageant held in San Diego, California—a testament to her grace and poise.
Within her community, Alison was deeply involved. She served as an elder and deacon at St. James Presbyterian Church, was a member of the Eastern Star, and held leadership roles as president of the Women’s Golf Association and president of her homeowners’ association. She also organized the annual Central City Fashion Show, decorated Red Rocks Country Club for Christmas each year, and founded the club’s annual craft fair.
In her free time, Alison enjoyed traveling—visiting 36 different countries—watercolor painting, golfing, Bible study, and book club. Above all, she cherished time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Van Gulick; her sons, Jeffrey (spouse Veronica) and Peter (spouse Cindy); and her six grandchildren: Erica Faulhaber, Robb Van Gulick, Tom Van Gulick, Rachel Van Gulick, Ali Van Gulick, and Samantha Van Gulick.
