Zachary Nicholas Holmes
July 29, 1991-May 30, 2019
Zac was born in Denver and raised in Lakewood, Colorado, where he attended South Lakewood Elementary, Creighton Middle School, and Lakewood High School. As a kid, he did all the usual kid things-playing bass in the school orchestra, taking karate lessons, Boy Scouts, riding bikes, camping, hanging with friends. After high school, he went to Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (AKA "RIM-CAD"), where he studied illustration, graduating with a Bachelors in Fine Arts in 2012. While in school, he started working at the Village Roaster, an independent coffee shop in Lakewood. After college, he continued working at the Roaster while working on his illustration business. He later left the Roaster to work at the Credit Union of Denver, starting as a teller and moving up to Financial Services Support Processor, a position he held until his death.
He is survived by his dad, Andy Holmes, his mom, Elaine Flint, and his brother, Jon Holmes.
His wit, his humor, his occasional sarcasm, his charm, and his warm and generous heart will be missed by all who knew him.
