William Handley Secor

April 19, 1985 - July 17, 2016

William Handley Secor was born on April 19, 1985 in Denver, Colorado. Little Billy delighted his parents, Bill and Terri Secor, with his curiosity and desire to explore his surroundings. He wanted to know how things worked and one of his favorite early “toys” was a set of tools.  His sister, Leah, joined the family 18 months later and the two grew to be good friends and close throughout their lives. Together, they spent many happy years at Lois Lenski Elementary School.

Will was a fine athlete and enjoyed all sports but he excelled in soccer, lacrosse and snowboarding.  He attended Littleton High School and lettered in golf.  He developed an interest in photography and earned honors for his work.  Music was an important part of his life and he played acoustic and electric guitar, along with the banjo and keyboard.

Will loved the outdoors and treasured his years at Fort Lewis College in Durango. He was active with Campus Crusade for Christ and participated in mission trips to New Orleans and North Carolina.  He graduated with a degree in Business Marketing in 2009.

Will lived in Englewood, Colorado and his backyard garden was a source of pride. He worked as an independent businessman and entrepreneur. He died July 17, 2016 while playing Disc Golf.

In addition to his parents, Will is survived by Leah and Kyle Jones, nephews Jase William Jones & Kellen Matthew Jones and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends and Family valued his good sense of humor and beautiful smile. He will be dearly missed.

  1. Secor family, I am so sorry for your loss. When Will worked at Accessory Warehouse with us, everyone loved him. He was a great guy! Always respectful and worked very hard. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  2. I still really am shocked that will is home. Just unbelievable. I miss him still. I really wish we would have made more time to hang out.
