William Keith Durham
February 18, 1946 ~ May 5, 2010
William (Bill) K. Durham passed away on May 5, 2010, after his courageous battle
with Churg Strauss lung disease.
Bill is preceded in death by his father Charles Durham. He is survived by his wife
Nonya, his mother Emily, children Bill Jr (Leslie), Troy (Tracey), Tim (Denae) and
Tia (Rich). Grandchildren Britney, Cole, Hannah, Rylan, Jackson, Bryce, and Tyler.
Bill was a very creative artist his whole life and was able to fill that dream full
time in 1995, after a 28 year career with Public Service Co.
After living in Durango for 10 years, Bill moved to Elizabeth CO. where he became a
nationally known artist for his 3 dimensional and negative space metal sculptures.
Bill had a passion for cars and motorcycles. Currently, he was working on his 1958
Chevy pick up and 1967 Camaro with Tim. He enjoyed many years with his boys riding
their dirt bikes.
Bill and Nonya enjoyed a beautiful cruise through the Panama Canal in April 2010 to
celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.
We will cherish our memories and hold him close to our hearts.
Bill's service will be held at Bullock Mortuary Tuesday May 11th, from 11:00am to
12:00. Please join us for a celebration of life following the service at Hudson
Gardens, 6115 South Santa Fe Drive.
Friends who wish may make memorial contributions in Bill's name to National Jewish
Health, 1400 Jackson Street, Denver, CO 80206.
To the entire family, my late but heartfelt condolences. As most would remember, Bill and I were steadfast friends from grade school until high school. We had a parting, but not a day went by that I did not think of him. That will continue.
