Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Bill was my father.  My earliest memories of him were as a travelling salesman.  First for Katzke Paper and then Fulton Denver.  He would take me to the Fulton Denver factory on Saturdays and show me where the railroad cars loaded, where the bags were stitched and where the commercial artist sat with all the pencils and chalks.  He did his best to instill in my sisters and I the value of a dollar. My dad was an interesting soul.  Full of opinions and conspiracy theories, many people had difficulty with his stories.  As his oldest daughter, his expectations for me were never attainable, among other things.  He adored my two younger sisters.  I don't think they ever knew how much he bragged about them.  He and my mom were married for quite a long time.  He loved to go to the mountains and we spent a week each summer in Estes Park or Grand Lake area.  I hope he now has the peace he could never find.
