Travis Aaron Taylor

Taylor, Travis A., November 6, 1928 - January 15, 2020 passed after a difficult battle with Parkinson’s. His family was at his side.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, parents, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Paula Sanderson and husband Mike, and Carla Hoagland and husband Jack. Grandchildren Casey Sanderson and Sara, Haley Sanderson, Hunter Hoagland, Colby Hoagland and Lexi Hoagland. Also surviving is a great grandson, Asher Sanderson, who shared a unique bond of love and joy.
Travis was born to Charles and Mary Taylor in Brinkman, OK. He moved to Lubbock, TX and attended Texas Tech receiving a BS in accounting in a period of 3 years. Travis was drafted and served in the Army during the Korean War. He married his best friend Mary Louise Woods. They had a very happy life until she passed away in 2016.
Travis moved to Edmond, OK in May of 2019 which was a time cherished by his family in Oklahoma.
Travis was a beloved friend, father, grandad, and great grandad. Travis loved sports especially basketball. He was a faithful Christian and lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Travis would want to be remembered as a faithful servant of God. He studied the Bible daily and loved the Church dearly.
He was truly a blessing and example and will be greatly missed. A service is planned at Ft Logan National Cemetery on January 24, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
