Tim H. Elmont

Timothy H. Elmont, 62, of Golden, CO passed away on February 23, 2019 in Winter Park, Co from an aortic aneurism while skiing.



Visitation and Recitation of Rosary will be 6:00pm on Friday March 1, 2019 at Trinity Church in Wheat Ridge, Co with Father Tom Nelson officiating.



Celebration of Life will be held 1:00pm Saturday March 16, 2019 at Hillside Community Church 103 N. Ford Street Golden, CO 80403 with Pastor Guy McCaslin of Applewood Community Church officiating. Final resting place will be Mount Olivet Cemetery, Golden, CO.



Tim was born October 14, 1956 in Englewood, CO to Tut and MaryLou Elmont (Pierce). He went to school in Englewood, CO. Tim married Karen Alley on June 6, 1981 in Englewood, CO. He graduated from University of Colorado with his degree in Chemistry in 1982. He worked as a chemist and managed various radiochemistry, plutonium, and nuclear materials control and safeguard labs at Rocky Flats Lab from 1982-1997. He then was a Program Manager for the Second Line of Defense at Los Alamos National Lab in New Mexico for 15 years. He also owned a Bicycle Shop from 1995 until 2000. Some of his many hobbies included riding his bicycle, playing the drums, building and flying remote controlled airplanes, building and preparing for his train garden to be built in the backyard after retirement, skiing both in snow and water, watching movies and sports with Matthew, playing with his granddaughter and spending quality time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.



His parents, Tut and MaryLou Elmont, precede Tim to heaven.



Tim leaves behind wife Karen, son Matt, daughter Katie (Jimmy Li), granddaughter Morgan, brother Paul (Kathy), sister Diane (Clay Agee).
