 Thomas Lee Summers, age 75, of Englewood, Colorado, entered into rest on Sunday, January 22nd, 2012.  Born August 16th (or 17th, we’ll let you decide J ), 1936.  Survived by sons and family Craig & Kori Summers, Charles & Teresa Summers, granddaughters Riley, Kaley, and Megan Summers, sister Donna “Sis” Ehlers, and brother John “Jack“ Summers.  Pre-deceased by parents Charles Neil, Dorothy Kathleen, and brother Neil Charles Summers.

 

Tom resided in Englewood all his life, attended school and raised his family.  He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1954-1957.  Tom had many jobs throughout his career but most notably as a Heavy Equipment Operator, working for two local companies, Stubby’s and Renauds Excavating. 

 

Dad contributed to several organizations that had an impact to his life style, such as the Diabetes Foundation, the NRA and American Legion. Dad also had many hobbies throughout the years, such as winemaking, gardening, and woodworking, but most of all his love of a good smoke.  J

 

Dad’s love was hard and stern over the years, but as grandpa, he was melting sugar - We love you.

 

A celebration of Tom's life will be held at the Bullock Colonial Chapel on Thursday, January 26th at 12 Noon with interment following at Fort Logan National Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy.
