Thomas Daniel Webb
Thomas Daniel Webb was born January 8, 1916 in Trenton, Tennessee to Allie Asbury and Della Webb the third of seven children. He grew up working hard on the farm in Dyer, Tennessee. Thomas Daniel Webb (known to most of us as T.D. or Tom or Daddy) married Cleah Jane Campbell on October 21, 1937 and became the parents of Dee Ann Blume of Elizabeth, CO, Jeanette De Baca of Wheat Ridge, CO and Emily Rea of Englewood, CO. He is survived by his three daughters and his brother James M. Webb (known as Bill) from Virginia; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 older brothers, 3 younger sisters, 2 grandsons and his wife of 61 years.
Tom worked for Phillips 66 for 6 years as a painter. He met his wife from Burton, Kansas while he was working in Hutchinson, Kansas. They were married in Omaha, Nebraska in 1937. Their first daughter was born in Iowa, second daughter was born in Indiana and the last daughter was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma where they lived for the next 15 years with a 1 year break because Tom worked in the Navy yard in Seattle. Tom worked on 9 defense jobs during WWII.
Tom moved to Englewood, Colorado in 1958 where he was living at the time of his passing. Tom was Baptized in 1949 at Memorial Christian Church in Tulsa and was a member of South Suburban Christian Church in Englewood, CO. Tom was self employed as a Decorator and Paint Contractor. Tom was a member of the International Painters and Allied Trades for 75 years. Tom was a member of Friendship Lodge #185 for 49 years and the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry for 50 years.
Dee Ann's memories:
Daddy was a hard working man he provided very well for us. I could always tell what color paint he used that day, when he came to the dinner table, by the specks of paint on the rim of his ears. There were times I went on jobs with him I was his gopher. I got my work ethecs from him, he always said a job worth doing deserved your best. Daddy always took us to Tennessee to see his parents. He told us many stories of his growing up on the farm, and being there made those stories come alive. I think of Dyer as my second home. I thank my daddy for all the piano lessons he paid for and my love for all the hold hymns, which still give me great pleasure to play. I have 75 years of memories, far to many to write down. My favorite memory of daddy was when I was 6 years old. Daddy had to register with the Draft in Hutchinson, Kansas, my two sisters were sick, mother had to stay home with them, so Daddy took me with him on my first bus ride. I remember it was dark, Daddy took me by the hand, I remember thinking how big and strong his hands were. The bus was crowded and some people were standing, they all looked so sad, I asked Daddy "why are they sad"? He said "they are out of work" and he held my hand a little tighter as if to keep me safe. I will never forget the touch of my Daddy's hand.
IT'S SO NICE TO HAVE A DAD AROUND THE HOUSE
Dads are special people
No home should be without.
For every family will agree
They're "so nice to have about"-
They are a happy mixture
Of a "small boy" and a "Man"
And they're very necessary
In every "family plan"-
Sometimes they're most demanding
And stern, and firm and tough,
But underneath they're "soft as silk"
For this is just a "bluff"-
But in any kind of trouble
Dad reaches out his hand,
And you can always count on him
To help and understand-
And while we do not praise Dad
As often as we should
We love him and adminre him,
And while that's understood,
It's only fair to emphasize
His importance and his worth-
For if there were no loving Dads
This would be a "loveless earth!"

I was given my middle name, Thomas, in honor of uncle Tom. I always looked forward to their visits and had good memories of them. My best memory was when we visited them in Tulsa and drove to Woolaroc Lodge or Museum. It had all kinds of mounted animals and Mr. Phillips' airplane located there. Dee Ann was my favorite of the 3 girls since she was closest to my age, but all are precious to me. Shirley and I send our love and know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
Our heartfelt condolences and blessings to the entire family. Life will certainly be different without Tom, but rest assured God's blessings will follow.

We are so sorry for your loss. We are praying for the entire family during this difficult time. God will give you the strength to get through this.
Like Jerry, I also remember our trips to Tulsa and the Museum! When we would visit him in Denver, Uncle Tom would take us riding in his station wagon; he would always be hunting for deer or elk with his eyes (while he was driving!) We always enjoyed the beautiful scenery and winding mountain roads.
Uncle Tom will be missed. But he will always have a special place in my heart! Now he is in heaven having a reunion with my mom (Anna Lou), Aunt Sue, Aunt Louise, Uncle Miller, and Grandmother and Granddaddy Webb.
To my cousins, Dee Ann, Jeanette, and Emily: We are thinking of you during this difficult time and wish we could be there with you. We are there is spirit! Please take care of each other! We love you!

I still have such fond memories of Gatlinburg and the first time I met you Dee Ann with Uncle Tom. I look at that picture and have the chuckle. Earnie and Tom were really good sports that day. What a fine fellow he was. Seems to run in the family, these strong, kind men. I loved your memories of him and the poem. He was very blessed to have such devoted caring children. My prayers are with all of you and I wish you nothing but loving memories and a quite spirit in which to enjoy them. Love to you all. Marcia
I am sorry for your loss. My sincerest wishes for your family.
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
We are thinking of you during this difficult time and wish we could be there with you. We are there is spirit!
Love, Bryan, Gina, Sara and Alec
