Tess E Braaksma
Tess E Braaksma, born Tjitske Anna Braaskma, on April 1, 1948, in Leeuwarden Friesland, Netherlands to Jilt (Albert) Braaksma and Tjitske (Jessie) Braaksma (Smedes) passed away on November 7, 2018, at Denver Hospice. She was the mother of Krista Braaksma and Rebecca Davila, and grandmother to Benson Becker. Preceded in death by brother Harry Braaksma, she is survived by her remaining siblings: Christine Jobe, John Braaksma, Henry Braaksma, and Gretta Degner. In 1951, Tess immigrated with her parents to the US and settled in Colorado. She was a student at Denver Christian and South High School. She retired in 2016 after working for Wal-Mart for twelve years.
Interment to be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO) on December 7th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., friends and family are welcome to attend.

I was very sad to hear of Tess' passing and my sincere sympathies go out to her family. Tess and I met many years ago working together and while we were not able to get together as often as I would've liked over the last few years I have very fond memories of our time. We shared good conversations over our love of books and movies and every time we did get together Tess was quick to greet me with a joke and get me to laughing, She certainly had great love for her family and never missed a chance to brag about her grandson. May she rest in peace, she certainly will be missed.
