Teresa Russell Priest

Teresa Russell Priest of Grainfield, Kansas went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2015 at Ashley Manner in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, reaching the age of 90 years. Teresa was born on May 21, 1925, daughter of Pete and Teresa (Stremmel) Rumback, and sister to 8 siblings. She attended school until 8th grade, when she then became a house nanny for a family in Washington. Teresa Married Norman Russell on November 22, 1948, and gave birth to 5 fabulously wonderful children; Terri, Tom, Stan, Connie, and Norma. She lived in Colorado most of her life where she was a homemaker and took on part time waitressing. She was preceded by her mother and father, and all siblings, except for Lawrence Rumback, who currently lives in Arizona. Teresa is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was dedicated to raising her children as a fun and loving mother. Teresa showed God's love to everyone - extending her home to many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Wherever she lived, Teresa was a second mom to many. She can be described as a woman who always knew how to see the bright side of every situation. Making jokes, dancing, singing silly songs, and making up stories that you never knew whether they were true or not, were some of the things that made her personality shine. She volunteered at VFW, church and many other places. She was most proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. To these family members and people whom she influenced, Teresa has given many memories of laughter that we will all hold on to forever and continue to share with our family and friends.
