Stephen Renteria

After a long battle, Stephen Renteria passed away on 9/1/2011 at the age of 60. Stephen was proceeded in death by his father Merced John Renteria. He is survived by his mother Clara and his two brothers Mike and Kurt. Stephen is survived by his four children, daughter Robin and her husband Scott, daughter Jenny and her husband Brian (Tiny), his son Marc and son Alec. He is survived by his three grand children, Hannah, Sarah and Taylor and his nephew Jon Michael. Stephen spent his career in the automobile sales industry. He was the owner of Regency Motor Company and worked at various Colorado and California car dealerships as general manager and sales positions throughout his career. Stephen was an avid outdoors man, he enjoyed golf, mountain climbing, fishing and running in the Boulder Boulder. He enjoyed traveling and visited Hawaii, Mexico, Alaska and had many other traveling destinations and adventures throughout his life. Stephen had a great sense of humor and a love of music that included playing the guitar. His daughters remember dad listening to oldies on Sundays and playing the guitar in his pj's. Family meant everything to Stephen and he always wanted everyone to be together having some family type of family fun day which on many occasions included dragging out the slip and slide (he had just as much fun as the kids) and numerous BBQ's over the years in grandma's backyard. Over the years Stephen has many acquaintances and close friends ranging from high school buddies, to friends he made while in the car business. He told funny and heartwarming stories over the years that included friends and family he cherished so very much. The service will be held on Tuesday September 6th at 3:00 PM at St. Paul's Community Church, 8001 W. 23rd Avenue, Lakewood. Viewing will start at 2:00 PM at the church. =
