Stash Warchesik

Stash Warchesik was born March 12, 1922 in Anderson, Texas to Romey and Helen (Gorney) Warchesik. He passed away February 28, 2014 at the Porter Hospice in Centennial, Colorado. He married Dorothy Poole on July 6, 1942 in Anderson, Texas. In this union, two sons were born; Jack K. Warchesik and Star E. Warchesik. Stash was inducted into the United States Army on November 16, 1942 in Tyler, Texas and was Honorably discharged June 11, 1943 at Camp Wolters, Texas earning the rank as private. Stash worked at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal for 31 ½ years until he was injured on August 27, 1979 and retired due to his injuries sustained. Stash’s' hobbies included Bee Keeping. He was as active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Denver.

Stash is survived by his two sons; Jack K. (Susie) Warchesik and Star E. (Jacque) Warchesik, grandchildren; Wendy Chimes, Brian Warchesik, Jenny Warchesik, Brigette Smith, John Warchesik and Bonnie Western, great grandchildren; Tanner Chimes, Katelynn Smith, Ashley Smith and Courtney Smith, siblings; John Warchesik, Sally (Warchesik) Wiesowski, Walter Warchesik, Charlie Warchesik, Pearl Warchesik, Joe Warchesik, Clara Warchesik, Tony Warchesik, Lee Warchesik, Steve Warchesik and Vick Warchesik.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at the Bullock Colonial Chapel on Thursday, March 6th at 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Friday, March 7th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow with military honors at Crown Hill Cemetery.

    I am so sorry for your loss. You should be proud that you were their everyday in the end of his life. You did right and hope you may have peace in your heart. Grandpa was so happy that you were their at the end.
