Stanley Wayne Moody

S. Wayne Moody 8/12/1943-4/4/2018

Wayne Moody passed away peacefully at his home on April 4, 2018.

He was born in Atlanta, Georgia and moved with his family to Denver in 1948. Wayne's parents, Johnson B. and Elizabeth G. Moody, and sisters, Sylvia Brady and Beverly Mayes, preceded him in death.

Wayne was a graduate of Lincoln High School and Metropolitan State College and earned a master's degree in Industrial Arts from Colorado State University.

He taught industrial and technical education at Evergreen High School, Carmody Jr. High, and Arvada Middle School, retiring in 2001. He was a skilled woodworker, an avid fisherman, and football fan.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Valerie Jean Moody, daughter Heather M. Watt (Michael), son Landon W. Moody (Tracy), grandson Hayden Ray Moody, and nephew David Mayes.

A celebration of Wayne's life will be held May 5 at the Whisper Creek Clubhouse, 8820 Ellis Street, Arvada, CO. Please come by anytime from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. to honor and celebrate Wayne's life with some food and drink.
