Sharon S Salazar

May 28, 1953 ~ November 24, 2022
Sadly on Thursday Thanksgiving evening November 24, 2022, My beloved
Momma Sharon Susan Salazar passed away in her home, in her room still
fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Sharon was raised in Denver CO by loving parents Samuel and Alice Salazar
in a sweet lil house on Bates Street in South Denver. She had 2 brothers
Anthony Salazar, and Arthur Salazar, and 2 sisters Shirley Salazar, and
Patricia Salazar. The house was filled with love and precious memories that
molded her into the woman she had become.
Sharon has one daughter Christina Salazar, who she loved with all her heart.
The bond they had was like no other. She raised her and taught her all the
things she would need to become a strong independent woman like she was.
She has 2 Grandkids Ariana A Robles, and Andres B Robles, that she was
very proud of. She did everything and anything to make sure they needed for
nothing.
If you knew her, you knew she loved her puppies, Mimi, Remmey, Roogar and
Lola, they were the light of her life and very spoiled by her with a standing
treat schedule, that the dogs wouldn't let her forget, as if she ever could!
Remmey and Lola slept with her every night, and never left her side.
Sharon went to Loretto Heights College, where she earned a Nursing Degree
and went on to becoming a well respected nurse for 39 years, she worked for
Denver Health and was very proud of her job and loved the people she
worked with. She worked until she was diagnosed and could no longer work.
She loved to cook and loved to feed her people, she was a gourmet cook, and
no matter how anyone tried, her recipes could not be duplicated or improved
upon. A good steak was her favorite, and had one often.
My momma was a great person, she gave of herself daily and loved her family
very much, she made a beautiful home and life for herself and us around her,
there will forever be a hole in my heart that will never be filled, I will never be
the same, I can not thank her enough for all she has done. She was my best
friend and partner in crime. I will miss her every day of my life.
I know that she is with her momma and poppa, her sister Shirley, and mimi
the dog she loved. They are cooking, listening to music, having a Tecate,
eating Grandma's tortillas and green chili.
Fly with the Angels Momma, until I see you again, I love you more than the
Moons and Stars.
I had the pleasure of working with Sharon. She was a very warm and compassionate nurse amongst many other things. Sharon was also very proud of her family. We became close over the years and she said that I was her adopted son 🙂 She was courageous in her fight with cancer and didn't let it get the best of her. Mama Sharon you will be greatly missed and never forgotten…
When I think of Sharon I think of a beautiful soul with a whole lot of swagger.
Her smile was infectious and she had the biggest heart. She was quick whittled and I could always count on her advice.
I'll never forget all the best times we shared laughing, eating, crying and just being together.
Love you Sharon and all the family too.
Thank you for sharing her life with me. I know how much she means to you all.
Love,
Danelle Trujillo
I had the privilege to work with Sharon for the last few years, and more importantly, came to see her as a wonderful friend and advisor. Sharon shared with us (my family and I) some of the best and worst times of our lives. She always knew what to say and was always there when I needed a shoulder to cry on. Even today, I can hear her voice giving me words of encouragement. Sharon helped us more than she will ever know, and she will forever be missed for the absolutely wonderful, co-worker, friend and mother figure she became in my life. Sharon was always happy to help, she was always there to listen, give advice or just be there. She loved sharing her delicious food with us and we loved eating it. There are countless Sharon stories but the most important thing to share is that we are so thankful we had the opportunity to know her and will forever miss her.
