Sally E. Mestdagh

November 27, 1922 - August 30, 1998

Sally was born in Pomeroy, Iowa to Emil and Martha Schiff. She married Howard Whittington in 1940. Sally married her second husband, Charles Mestdagh in 1946 and they remained together until his death in 1981.

Sally and Charles moved from Iowa Falls, Iowa to Denver, Colorado in 1962 where they settled and finished raising their family. Sally worked as a nurses aid in the Denver area for thirty tears and was also a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary post #9644.

Sally is survived by sons Richard L. Whittington of Creete, Nebraska; Robert C. Mestdagh of Ackley, Iowa; Ronald S Elsen of Council Groves, Kansas; Jon D. Mestdagh of Englewood, Colorado and a daughter, Mary L. Reed of Lakewood, Colorado; brothers Herman Elsen Jr. of Woodburn, Iowa; Melvin Elsen of Evanston, Wyoming and a sister Freida Dencklau of Northglenn, Colorado. Sally is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, September 3^rd at 10:00 a.m. At Fort Logan National Cemetery.
