Ruth Holley

Ruth Marie Holley was born on December 28, 1946 in Portsmouth, Virginia and passed peacefully on October 19, 2022 at her home in Centennial, Colorado surrounded by family.
Born to James C. Brown Sr. and Marcella (Rome) Brown.
In 1961 Ruth settled with her family in Englewood, Colorado and graduated from Englewood High School in 1966.
Ruth married in August 1966 and raised four children. She would later also raise one of her grand daughters.
Ruth enjoyed scrapbooking, ceramics, embroidering and gardening; but most of all she loved her family. Spending time with and planning events for her family was one of her greatest joys. Having a love for children she operated a home daycare for many years where she affectionately became known as Momma Ruth.
Ruth was preceded in death by James C. Brown Sr. (father), Mildred M. Kerns (sister) and Anita Roeper (daughter).
Ruth is survived by mother Marcella (Brown) Roe, children Sheila Palmer and husband TD, Marcella Price, Terrence Holley and wife Kristin, Amanda Holley-Wilson, grandchildren Ashley, Sarah, Jessica, Elizabeth, Krista, Joshua, Justin, Sabrina and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Theresa Thomas-Walsh and husband Patrick, sister Shirley Bettger husband James (deceased) brother Raymond Brown, brother Thomas Brown and wife Kristie.
in lieu of flowers, donations are accepted to help with funeral expenses.
There are some who bring a light, so great to the world that even after they are gone, their light remains.
