Rudy C. Burger

Rudy Burger, 75, passed away on September 12, 2019 at his home in Littleton, CO after his battle with pancreatic cancer.
Rudy was born on February 23, 1944 in Denver, CO to Edward and Zaida Burger. He was the youngest of three siblings, his sister JoAnne and brother Robert. After graduating from Alameda High School in Lakewood, CO and a brief stint at Western State University in Gunnison, CO, Rudy joined the Navy. Following his service in the Navy, he married Dona Tuffield on February 13, 1970. Rudy and Dona raised two sons, Will and Mike. Rudy had a long and successful career with the Denver Fire Department where he retired from in 1997.
Rudy was a beloved husband, loving father, inspiring role-model, and cherished friend. He was a coach, handyman, confidant, and security blanket to all that knew him. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife Dona, sons, Will and Mike, their wives, Cheryl and Dawn, along with his three grandchildren, Michael, Morgan and Evan.
A ‘Celebration of Life' will be held on Saturday September 28 from 12pm-3pm at Concordia by the Lake clubhouse at 6155 South Ammons Way, Littleton, CO.
