Ronald Thomas Dare passed away too soon on March 24, 2025 at the age of 49 with his mom, dad, and sister by his side.

Ron was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and was a lifelong resident of Lakewood, Colorado. He attended Green Mountain High School and worked as a heavy-equipment mechanic.

Beloved by his family and wide circle of friends, he had a “heart of gold” and was a “forever” friend to many. He was a frequent spectator at Bandimere Speedway and loved anything on wheels including skateboards, BMX, dirt bikes, ATVs, lifted trucks, and a 1965 Ford pickup he planned to restore. As a hobby, he used his welding skills to make creative figures from small metal automotive parts.

His wife, Melyn Dare, recently passed away on April 9, 2025.

He is survived by his four children: Amara Ficca, Oscar Dare, Delilah Dare, and Gemma Dare; his granddaughter, Rhiannon Ficca; his parents, Tom and Beverley Dare; his sister, Kimberley Jones; his niece, Brittany Jones; his nephew Chad Jones; and extended family members. Ron is also survived by his former wife, Elizabeth Dare, who is the mother of three of his children: Oscar, Delilah, and Gemma.

Ron’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 10 a.m. at Green Mountain United Methodist Church, 12755 W. Cedar Place, Lakewood, Colorado. Those that attend are invited to bring and share memories of Ron. Donations to Green Mountain United Methodist church would be welcomed.
