Ronald Lynn Wallace

Septmeber 13, 1963 - October 9, 2014

Ron was born in Corona, CA to Ron “Wally” Wallace and MaryRose (Nethington) Wallace. During his formative years he lived in Orange County, CA, Parker, AZ, Homer, AK, and finally Denver and Aurora, CO graduating from Central High School. He married Tonya L. Hofer; they resided in Englewood, CO, and together they had two wonderful children; son, Justin Hofer (Ashleigh) and daughter, Stephanie Glaze (David). In 2000 he became a single parent when his lovely wife passed away. For many years Ron was successfully employed as a machinist and CNC programmer eventually becoming a lead man and respected supervisor until he was sidelined by his health issues.

Ron coped valiantly against many debilitating physical disabilities and limitations. However, he was determined to live life fully; to experience each day with hope and gratitude especially for his children who meant everything to him and delighting in his three grandchildren; Riley, Hayley, and Maddie Sue.

Ron loved camping, fishing, riding quads, cooking barbeque, and was undeniably THE #1 fan of the Broncos. Recently he was overjoyed to be able to attend a Joe Bonamassa concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater. He adored the blues.

Ron is survived by his mother, MaryRose; sisters, Jaymi Gottfried (Robert) and Shannon Rocha Foster (Greg); brothers, Ron N. Rocha (Blaise), Randy Wakefield (Shannon), Patrick Garrett (Anya), and Sean Greer (Teresa); Aunts Joyce Leon (Rolo), and Grace Churchill (Denny); Uncle Dan Bilbrey (Dawnmarie); extended family including many nephews and nieces; several cousins; close friend Mike Kibler and countless other friends and acquaintances.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the many, many people who have shared their condolences. We have been comforted by your kindness and your prayers.

Guestbook

  1. I can't put into words how sorry I am about the passing of my father-in-law Ron. He was a wonderful man, father and grandfather and will be missed more than he could have ever imagined.  He is watching over all of us now.

  2. Our deepest condolences to the Wallace family on their loss Ron was a good friend and will be missed. Rip brother we love you.  Don & kelly Sedan.

  3. I only saw Ron a couple times, but one of those times was at Rose Medical when he and his family arrived to see Justin & Ashleigh's newborn daughter, Maddie Sue.  I think he fell in love with her right away and loved her as he loved Hayley & Riley.  I always loved seeing the photos of the family outings and gatherings, because Ron always looked like he was having the time of his life.  My husband and I send our deepest sympathy to the entire family.

Sincerely, Carol & Gary Johnson, Elbert, CO.
