Rogelio Perez, 48, passed away unexpectedly on July 21st, 2017 in Littleton, Colorado from lifelong complications of diabetes.  He was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and Chaparral, New Mexico.  He lived in Garden City, Kansas for the past 20 years.  He married the love of his life and soul mate, Jill, on September 17, 2014 in a hot air balloon ceremony in Colorado Springs, overlooking the wondrous Rocky Mountains.  He never wanted to do anything simple.

He also loved many different sports, especially soccer and football.  He loved and cared for numerous pets, as well as movies and spending time with family. Rogelio and Jill enjoyed travelling with their parrot, Sassy. Rogelio had an insatiable thirst for adventure and a passion for life and family. He is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife Jill, of their home, four daughters, Thelma (Manuel) Perez of Garden City, KS, April Perez of the home, Stephanie (Tim) Clymer of Deerfield, KS and Diana (Chris) Barr of Dalhart, TX; Stepchildren Skyler (April) Stroda of Garden City, KS and Sierra (Kevius) Miller of Abilene, KS; his father, Jose Duarte of El Paso, TX, two sisters, Luz Duarte of Chaparral, NM and Maria Duarte of Bernalillo, NM; three brothers, George Duarte of El Paso, TX, Javier Duarte and Caesar Duarte, both of Chaparral, NM; grandchildren Edith, Valerie and Jazlyn Moreno of Garden City, KS and Kellin, Kaizyr and Aurora Miller of Abilene, KS;  nieces Yanira and Janet of Chaparral, NM and nephews Lorenzo, Hector, Edgar and Javier of Chaparral, NM and Moroni of Bernalillo, NM.  Also his mother in law, Frankie Vizcaino.

  5. Dear Jill and family,
My sincerest condolences to you for this terrible loss. My prayers and thoughts will be for you all. May the Lord easy your suffering and give you strength and guidance throughout this time.

  6. My heart goes out to Jill and the Perez family and friends of Rogelio in your time of sorrow. I know Rogelio has left you with many precious memories from his 48 short but full years with us. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Our loving heavenly Father, "Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)
Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. Revelations 21: 4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." The family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences.
