Dad you were the best father ever. I love you and miss you so much!!!
To the Turner Family, My deepest sympathy to all. Mr. Turner was a kind and generous man. I remember him with such a great sense of humor. He was fun to be around. I know he was a great father to his girls. He raised my best friend, Debbie, to be such a loving and compassionate person. I am so blessed to have her in my life and in turn the chance to know her family. My prayer is that the Lord God bring you peace and surround you more so at this time with comfort and love.
Although I never met Bill Turner, I have had the opportunity to work with his daughter, Debbie. Knowing Debbie and working side by side with her helps you understand the kind of man, the kind of dad, that Bill Turner must have been. A person that cared deeply about, and for, others in this world. A gentle and kind soul.
I understand that he volunteered at Colorado Talking Library. TLC, and the team Debbie works with at TLC, will be making a donation in his name to this cause that Bill Turner clearly loved and supported
Love and prayers to Debbie and all the family and friends that will miss him.
Karen, Your dad was a wonderful man. I feel priviledged that I met him and only wish I had longer to know him. He was truly an inspiration to me this summer on our 2 week trip. I remember walking on the streets of Prague singing at the top of our lungs. I think I can hear him now, singing in Heaven.
Love, Carol
My Daddy is one of my greatest treasures! Love You Forever Daddy!
Thank God for Bill Turner! What a wonderful gift he was to anyone who met him! My wife Jill and I met him shortly after his wife, Dorothy, died. While truly heart broken, he insisted on moving and serving other people. Bill and Karen joined the Cherry Hills Community Church team preparing to teach English in the Czech Republic. Although Bill ended up on the “injured reserve” list (shoulder injured during exercise) and could not travel, he helped with much of the preparations that year. This summer, Bill, Karen and Dave joined a dozen more of us in going to teach English, organize sports and craft activities, and make friends with 80 Czechs at the English Family Camp. Bill inspired all of us, charmed the children, brought smiles to many faces, and shares God's love freely. We will all cherish our memories of times with him. Bill was truly a fine man and a blessing to all who knew him.
We will remember Bill fondly as a kind, funny man with a twinkle in his eye. What a wonderful conversationalist and a superior ping pong player. We came about meeting Bill through our relationship with our beautiful sister-in-law, and his daughter Debbie. He cared deeply for his family and enjoyed boasting (deservedly so) on their many accomplishments.
Bill recently hosted us on a tour of his home and facility where he lived. During that wonderful time he shared wonderful and vivid memories of a well-lived life.
Bill, you will be missed. Rest in peace.
Pam (Munsell) Kearney and family
I first met Bill three years ago at an indoctrination meeting for new residents at Heather
Gardens. After the meeting we talked about many things and discovered that we both liked to play ping-pong. Since then we both played in our ping-pong and billiards club groups. Bill will be missed by all of us who knew him. My condolences to Bill's family . From his friend and fellow ping-pong player.
I will greatly miss my wonderful grandpa. The things that come to mind when I think about him are: his friendliness towards strangers, his collection of hats that were perfect upon his bald head, his endless supply of jokes for every occasion, his teasing yet caring personality, his wisdom, his faith in our God, his volunteering and service, his beautiful ability to carry a tune and play instruments, his craftsmanship with woodwork, his camera in his hand ready to capture the family celebrations, and most of all his love of his family. I'm proud of my grandpa because unlike many people his age he was an active tennis and ping-pong player plus he taught himself how to use the computer. He was a real go getter. I love him so much and he will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace Grandpa. You will be greatly missed by all the people you touched!
