  1. May I express my condolences for your loss. Death of a loved one can be very difficult to endure. Our father in the heavens offers comfort through his word the Bible. 2 Corinthians 1:3 tells us that "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God." May your family find strength and comfort during this difficult time.

  2. Our deepest condolences to the Jacksons!  A difficult time.

Cousin Rob and I go back to the 1940s when we were young kids in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Nobody had money, so we would enjoy simple family outings to pick blueberries or swim in Lake Superior during picnics.  A picture (which, unfortunately, I cannot find) that both of us liked because it captured this era, had the two of us young urchins sitting on the running board of an old Ford.  Although we then were separated by geography, our interests moved in related directions; e.g., both of us earned PhD's in mathematics.  And so when we did get together or communicate, sharing stories about our younger days would sometimes slide into an arcane discussion involving all those weird symbols — that then frustrated others.  Rob, you will be missed.
