The world has lost a wonderful man. Mickey passed away peacefully at home, wrapped in the love of his family around him. Mickey was compassionate, loving, caring, humble, charming, and dearly loved by everyone who knew him. If anyone needed his help, he was right there to lend a hand. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. We want you to know how very much you all meant to him.
He was our biggest fan in life and attended every event of his kids, grandkids and great grandkids, no matter how near or far. He loved to travel, whether here in town, throughout Colorado, across the US, or to Hawaii. He especially loved going to Las Vegas, Mesquite and Blackhawk! Over the years, golf was a passion, playing anytime, anywhere on any course he could find. All of his travels took him to many favorite places and created special memories with family and friends his whole life long.
Fun to note, as a gifted three-sport letterman at Denver South High School, he was the first Football All American chosen from Colorado.
So grateful to have found love a second time around at their 45th high school reunion, he and Julie spent 21 wonderful years together. Wherever you saw Mickey, you saw Julie next to his side, holding hands - a love story for the ages.
