Robert Michael "Bob" Evans

Robert "Bob" Michael Evans passed away on Sunday, May 11th, 2014 after a 3 year battle with cancer. He was born on January 22, 1947 in Edgewater, Colorado. He was the oldest son of Robert and Virginia Evans. After graduating from Jefferson County High School in 1965, Bob joined the United States Army where he went through Basic Training in El Paso, Texas. From there he was sent to Germany with the 3rd Army / Signal Corp where he spent his 4 years in the service. Bob joined the Denver Police Department on May 1st, 1970 and retired after 34 years of service in April of 2004. He always liked to say, "I was just a patrolman", but he was very proud of being a Police Officer. Bob was the loving father of 2 sons, Keith (44) of Firestone, Colorado; and Ross (41) of Sandwich, Illinois. He was the beloved Grandfather of 2 grandchildren, Colin (11) and Ross Jr. (16). He is also survived by many close friends and he will be greatly missed and remain forever in our hearts.
