Robert G. Hopper
August 8, 1909 ~ April 4, 2009
Robert, known to most as "Bob" or "Robbie", was born in the Bronx, NY. Growing up he had many jobs, but finally settled on upholstery work, opening up his own shop. He married Kathryn in 1936, and Carole was born 10 years later. After a successful career and life in New York, Bob and Kathryn re-located to Denver to spend time with Carole, her husband Michael, and eventually his grandchildren, Brian and Julie. After 67 years of marriage, Kathryn passed away and Bob moved into a senior living complex. He enjoyed playing cards, organizing football pools, and was active in the Men's Club. He touched many lives with his endless stories of growing up in New York, his time in the Army, and anything else he could think of to talk about. In February of 2008, Bob was blessed with the birth of his first Great Grandson, Colten Michael, son of Brian and Christina Rector. Bob lived a full and rewarding life of 99+ years and will be greatly missed by all.
