Robert Brannan (Bob) was born November 30, 1936 in Topeka, Kansas to Louis Brannan and Edith (Shrontz) Brannan. He passed away peacefully in Lakewood, Colorado surrounded by family on April 19, 2017. He is survived by his children Robert (Christina) Brannan, Michael Brannan and Lisa Wagner; grandchildren Scott, Jack, Gabe and Katie. Brother of Sister Mary K Brannan and long-time friend and companion of Alexis Reisacher. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at All Saints Catholic Parish (2559 South Federal Blvd.) at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment will be held at a later date.
Bob graduated from Denver South High School in 1955 where he was an accomplished athlete in baseball, football and basketball. He served 6 months of active training in the US Army receiving the Sharpshooter’s medal and then attended 2 years at the Colorado School of Mines in the Engineering Program. Bob worked as a Cartographer for 38 years at the US Geological Survey in Lakewood from 1957 to 1995. He loved to fish and camp whenever possible, enjoyed traveling and ball room dancing, and was an avid sports fan of all the Denver Professional Sports Teams.
