Rick Courchene

Rick was born on January 18, 1968 to Paul and Michelle Courchene at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Aurora, CO.

He was a servant to our community serving as a fire fighter at fire station 21. He has been a fire fighter since 1999.

Rick was very involved in body building winning several awards, including Mr. Colorado in his weight class in 1995. Also in 1995 he placed 10th in Junior USA, which was an awesome accomplishment according to a close friend. He was also a personal trainer helping others to obtain their goals in life.

He was a graduate of the University of Colorado with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Communication.

Rick is survived by his father Paul Courchene of New Hampshire; his mother Michelle Dankenbring of Aurora, Colorado; two brothers, Scott Courchene of Aurora, Colorado and Mike Herring of Craig, Colorado; two nephews, Christopher Courchene and Alex Herring; two nieces, Kaytlin and Ella Herring, his fire fighting family, body building buddies and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother Jim Courchene.

Rick passed away at home on November, 16th 2009 at the age of 41.

Rick, you are greatly missed, we love you.


Memorial services will be held at Grace Community Church (7200 South Clinton Street, Centennial, CO) on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
