Richard W. McGee, Jr.

Richard Wilson McGee Jr., born March 23, 1920, passed away peacefully, in his sleep, November 17, 2015. He was preceded in 2012 by his wife of 71 years, Virginia McGee. He is survived by his 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a very devoted family friend who took great care of him in his final years.

Dick was a Veteran, having served with the Army during WWII, one of the "greatest generation". He loved his country and was very proud of his service, as was his family.

He touched many lives and was well loved by both family and friends. He will be whole-heartedly missed.

A Celebration of Richard's life will be held at the Bullock Colonial Chapel on Monday, November 23rd at 10:00 a.m. with interment following at Fort Logan National Cemetery with military honors.

  1. Uncle Dub will be missed by a lot of his Texas relatives.  We always looked forward to a visit with him, and he tried to make it to our annual reunions.  We had no idea that he had served his country during World War II in such a heroic way until we asked him one day.  He was in many hot spots during the war and was a good representative of our American family, for which we are very very  proud.
