Richard “Dick” Williams

Richard “Dick” Williams, 79, passed away August 9, 2013 in Denver, CO after developing complications from back surgery.  He is survived by his nephew, Steve Jones; niece, Tami Thilman (Bill); several cousins, many friends and a faithful group of “coffee buddies”.

Dick was born on April 30, 1934 in Hugo, CO to Florence (Boetger) Williams and Forest Williams.  He graduated from Hugo High School in the Class of ’52 then went on to serve 5.5 years in the US Army.  After an honorable discharge from the military, Dick began his lifelong career as a surveyor for the State of Colorado (CDOT).  Dick loved to watch the Denver Broncos win (not play, win!), he enjoyed driving, watching movies, the mountains and talking with friends over coffee.

Dick is preceded in death by his father Forest Williams, mother Florence (Boetger) Williams, sister Corinne Jones, and his beloved son John Lee Williams.  Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Bullock Colonial Chapel, 1375 E.
