Dearest Ken Rest in Peace and fly high with your wings. You will be missed by many.
Ray was one of a kind. We spent many happy days together at Dist. 3. I remember him giving up his own time at Christmas to completely decorate the outside of the station with his artistry and painting. May God grant comfort to the family during their time of mourning and beyond.
R.I.P. Ray.

I had the pleasure of working with Ray in District #3, morning shift. My first day Ray calls via radio and invited me to coffee. I didn’t know who he was, we had coffee and he has been my friend ever since. Ray was quite the policeman and a hell of a person. Thank you Ray for your friendship the other Ray.
I was standing around before my very first shift at Dist 3. Hands in my pocket. A bit nervous. I didn’t know anyone. Ray walked up to me, introduced himself and gave me a handshake and hearty welcome to my new world!! I have always remembered that. I remember the night he got shot and how relieved we all were to find out that it was not a life-threatening wound. The thing about Ray that I will always remember is his smile and good-humored nature. He was always willing to help a friend, or a citizen in need. Rest In Peace Ray!!!

Dear Venita,
So very sorry to hear of Ray’s passing. May God send you comfort and peace.
Ray was my classmate, first class of 1979, and I met you thru Ray a few times. You are both great, caring people.
So sorry for the loss to you and your family.

Saying goodbye to an old friend from the St. Joseph Class of 1968
I had the privilege of working with Ray both in District 3 and the Gang Unit. What I remember most was hit personality. He always seemed to have a smile and a good word. Which wasn’t so easy at the end of People’s Fair. Ray was one of the good guys and will be sorely missed.
Kenny meant so much to so many people. My grandma Hope would often talk about how proud she was of her nephew for serving our country and protecting the community.
Recently I got to know Kenny and his daughter Danette, we worked together on some DNA research to accurately identify our family history. It was a great pleasure to work on this project and because of that Kenny’s legacy will live on forever.
Always in our hearts and memories
