Ray Kenneth Burks

Ray Kenneth Burks, Born in Denver CO to Ray and Barbara Burks on August 17th 1960. Ray was lucky to find his soul mate in Jill Burks, married on September 28th 1996. Ray was a great brother to Kim Buxton and Karrie Ring and their spouses. Ray was a wonderful stepdad to Corey Childers and his wife Stacey Dion. He was Papa Ray to his much loved granddaughter Maddi Dion Childers.

Ray was a good friend to many and loved by everyone that knew him. He was a special man who will be missed by all who knew him.

He worked and retired for the Railroad and was a 3rd generation Railroad worker.

Ray enjoyed time with family and friends, camping, fishing and cooking. He loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to Lake Powell and Mexico. Ray was a die-hard Bronco Fan!

His ornery sense of humor will be missed by all.

  7. I was so shocked to hear of Ray's passing and sorry that I didn't keep up with him like I should have. I grew up with the Burks and have so many wonderful memories of our time together. Ray was taken from this world way to soon and he will be missed terribly. He is at peace now with no pain and will always be with each and everyone of us. I know your pain of losing a brother, but cherish all the wonderful memories you have of your time with Ray. Say hello to Clarko and Mom Elaine. Thoughts and prayers to your family as they stumble through life without you!!!

  8. I've never had the pleasure of meeting Ray. I've sure heard many things about him over the years from Aunt Nola .
I've heard about his cooking skills and the big dinners, his kindness to Jill, and her family, that he had lots & lots of friends. That last part was a quote. I'm sure sorry for the loss of this great man. My thoughts & best wishes to all of his family and friends
