Ray Ferguson

Ray M. Ferguson, born June 5, 1920, passed away on April 28, 2008. He will be greatly missed by Florence, his loving wife of 64 years. He is preceded in death by his sons, Larry R. Ferguson of Littleton and Alan K. Ferguson of Idaho Falls, ID. He is survived by daughter-in-law Jan Ferguson and her children David Ferguson and Chris Ferguson of Littleton; daughter-in-law Wanda Ferguson of Idaho Falls, ID and her children Kathy, Scott, Gary, Cozette, Linda, Rona and their respective families; and daughter and son-in-law Jeanene and Patrick Smith of Denver. Ray will also be lovingly remembered by his many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and also by his treasured friends.
Ray grew up in southeastern Colorado in the towns of Bristol, Granada, and Lamar.
After serving as a Sergeant Major with the Army in World War II he returned home to work in the construction business. Eventually he transitioned to the wholesale lumber supply business and was employed by Boise Cascade, Denver Reserve Supply, and Fowler and Peth during his long career.
Ray loved traveling with his wife. San Francisco and Las Vegas were favorite destinations.
A dedicated golfer, Ray shot a hole-in-one - not just once but twice during his lifetime.
A memorial service will be held at Bullock Colonial Chapel in Englewood, Colorado on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Private family interment ceremony will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery's Cremation Garden at a later date.
