Quentin L. "Dutch" Williams, 89, passed away at home on January 17, 2013. He loved and was the much beloved husband of Frances Williams, loving father to Sandy (Joe) Duran, Frank (Jeanie) Williams, Judy (Rick) Creswell, caring step-father to Mike Rea, Don (Barbara) Rea, Diane (Dan) Goodpaster, recently deceased Mary Rea, proud grandfather to Sue (Robert) Sullivan, David Ford, Sherry (Steve) Watkins, Julie (Jim) Girard, Michelle (ShunWhiteside) Williams, Jon (Lisa) Williams, Joy Williams, Michael (Caryn) Pittenger, Holly Pittenger, James Goodpaster, and many great- and great, great grandchildren. Dutch was preceded in death by first wife Doris N Williams, John his father, Mary his mother, his brothers Marvin, Archie and Arthur. Dutch was born in Forbes, North Dakota on March 23, 1923 and shortly thereafter, the family moved to Timberlake, South Dakota before settling in Denver, Colorado while in his teens. During WWII, he served in the Navy as a Pharmacist Mate 3rd Class on the Apamama Atoll in the Gilbert Islands. One of his duties was waiting in the back of an ambulance at the airstrip for possible incoming wounded. This is probably why he liked the TV program "MASH" and watched every episode more than once. After leaving the Navy, Dutch began a career as a carpenter, working his way from the ground up until forming his own sub-contracting business "Williams Construction Company" doing interior finish on new homes. His motto was "always measure twice and cut once"! He was quite the perfectionist. Once he retired he enjoyed creating beautiful grandfather clocks, mantle clocks, baby cradles as the great-grandchildren came along and many other unique pieces of furniture. Please join us as we celebrate Dutch's life on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Red Rocks Baptist Church, 14711 W. Morrison Road, Morrison, Colorado
