Paul J. Staiert

Surrounded by his family, died on January 19, 2005 in Centennial. He was born on March 9, 1930 in Carroll, Iowa and grew up on a farm along with his twelve siblings. Paul was a school administrator, teacher and counselor. He worked for Littleton Public Schools most of his professional life. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Denver in 1971. Paul traveled extensively with his wife, Harriet, and savored every minute of it. He enjoyed sailing, woodworking, carving, hiking and playing with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Paul loved people. He was a very compassionate and caring man, with a great sense of humor and love of laughter. He, in turn, was loved by all and will be sorely missed.

Paul is survived by his wife, Harriet, three sisters and four brothers, his three children, Patricia, Susan, and John, four stepchildren, Eric, Vicki, Jule and David, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Nature Conservancy or charity of your choice. There will be a memorial service Saturday, January 29, 2005 11:00am at Bullock Colonial Chapel.
