On March 7, 2026, Patricia “Pat” Stromberg of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away at the age of 93.

Pat was born on April 23, 1932, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the only child of Richard Roberts and Ruth Hessler Roberts.

She graduated in 1954 from the Teachers College at the University of Cincinnati. During her time there, she was a member of Phi Delta Kappa Honor Society, Mortar Board, and Kappa Kappa Gamma. She also served as president of the Women’s YWCA, chaired Religious Emphasis Week, and was the first female Cincinnati Bearcat mascot cheerleader. In 1979 she achieved a Master of Arts Degree in Library Media from Denver’s University of Colorado.

She later served as a Library Media Specialist before retiring in 1997. After her retirement, Pat made many treasured memories traveling the world with friends.  She visited countries in every continent except Antarctica.

Pat generously volunteered her time and talents to many organizations. Among her most meaningful contributions were serving as a Deacon and Elder at Green Mountain Presbyterian Church and chairing the Memorial Garden Columbarium Committee. She also served on the Jefferson County Retired School Employees Association Board and led the Books for Kids Program.  A gifted storyteller, Pat shared her talents in schools, hospices, and retirement communities, bringing joy to many.

She is remembered with love by her family: her children, Mark (Cindy) Stromberg and Ruth (Chuck) McCluer; her grandson, Tyler (Lindsey) Bennet; and her great-granddaughter, Willow Bennet.
