Nancy Penrose Keith

Nancy Penrose Keith, 91, passed away on June 13, 2023 at the Rocky Mountain Assisted Living Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

She was the daughter of William and Grace Penrose and the devoted wife of Jefferson Donald Keith, who preceded her in death in 2005, to whom she was married for 55 years.

Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Nancy graduated from the University of Maryland where she met Jeff. They began a journey that would see them establishing roots in Connecticut, Ohio, Maryland and finally Arizona. Nancy enjoyed being a kindergarten teacher in early life and then supporting Jeff while he pursued and managed a career in the Trade Association industry. She enjoyed the company of her friends, playing Bridge, raising a growing family, and traveling with Jeff around the world.

Nancy embodied a spirit of gratitude, grace, and positivity throughout life. Despite outliving two of her four children, she was never bitter or angry. She remained accepting, saw beauty in every day, and appreciated her blessed life even in the face of challenges.

Nancy is survived by her sister, Linda Dority; sons Jay (Kristen) Keith, Andy (Suzy) Keith; and son-in-law Brent (Markita) McWilliams. She was pre-deceased by daughters, Karen Keith and Carol McWilliams, and brother-in-law Ralph Dority. She was the loving grandmother of eleven and great-grandmother of two.

 Burial will be on Monday, June 26 th , at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery in Berlin,
Maryland.
