I met Mel in Jr. High School. She was one of my closest friends. Many years passed but I recently had the opportunity to talk and visit Mel. I seen the Mel I remembered with her big heart, big humor and great memory ! We talked about things I forgot and she forgot, just trying to get caught up. I really thought we would be able to have many more chances to visit. I am so sad but grateful Mel is not in anymore pain with the challenges that faced her. When I think of Mel, I will always remember that when she was done being feisty, she always came back to being a kind, loving soul. This is my friend I will truly miss.
