Maxine Theresa Clark
December 5, 1953 ~ April 14, 2014
Sixty years ago, a beautiful, tiny baby girl was born to Max and Edna Contreraz, Maxine Theresa. The seventh child of nine children, she was tiny, so tiny she was able to sleep in a shoebox, when she was brought home from the hospital. Her older siblings, Frank, Charlene, Daniel, Mona, and Mike, welcomed her into their family. Later her younger sister, Eloise joined the family and Maxine had a playmate and friend forever. She joined the Lord in Heaven, April 14, 2014. Maxine Theresa Clark was born on December 5, 1953 to her parents Max and Edna Contreraz at Weld County General Hospital in Greeley, CO. She is survived by her parents, who reside in Windsor, Co; her Loving Husband Daniel Clark of Lakewood; two sons- Josh Lane of Arvada and Sean Clark of Lakewood; Sisters Charlene (Carlos) Alamosa, Co; Mona Valdez (Dan) Windsor, Co; Eloise Willhite (Dave) Severance, Co; Brothers Daniel (Pauline) Eaton, Co and Mike (Helen) Westminster Co; Two Granddaughters Eva Clark and Chloe Lane; Maxine's puppy, Honey; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister Linda (infant), two brothers Frank, and Guadalupe (infant). Maxine grew up in Northern Colorado attending Elementary School in Pierce, Co., Junior High in Timnath, Co., and graduated from Windsor High School. After graduation she worked for local merchants before moving to Washington D.C. She was employed as an Account Representative for a Stocks and Mutual Funds Firm in Georgetown and as a lover of pets, she also worked as a dog groomer. After returning to the Denver area, she was Blessed with sons Josh and Sean. Maxine enjoyed very much her time as "Gummy". Her full happiness arrived in Daniel Clark, her husband of 16 years, who was at her side when God took her home. On any day, Maxine may have stood 4' 9' or so. Although short in stature, she had the BIGGEST heart. She was tough. Many will miss her smile, her sense of humor, her concern. But most of all, many will miss "I just called to see how you're doing." May she rest in peace as we mourn her death to this life, but rejoice in celebrating her eternal life in heaven. Catholic Mass will be at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, 7400 W. 80th Ave., in Arvada, Colo. 10:30 Am, April 23, 2014. Condolences maybe sent to www.storkfamilymortuary.com, Maxine Clark.
