Maxine R. Owen

March 14, 1924 ~ May 27, 2013
Maxine Owen served as a missionary along with her husband, Roy, in Arizona, South Dakota, North Dakota, California, Colorado, Georgia and Hawaii. She was actively involved in all aspects of the development of pioneer missions efforts. She helped with the start of new churches, assisted struggling churches and provided encouragement to new leaders learning the art and science of being followers of Jesus.
Before retirement and after she thrived on being a parent of three children, a grandparent of five children and a great grandparent of eight children. Granny Mac nurtured and encouraged the next generation to keep their focus on Jesus. She modeled Christian excellence through being involved and supportive of her local church.
If you would like to honor Maxine's legacy of Christian growth, you may contribute an offering in her honor to the Legacy Fund of the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention, 2042 Vancouver Drive, Honolulu, Hawaii 96822. For more information about the Legacy Fund contact HPBC at 808-946-9581.
