Mary Margaret Chase

Mary Margaret Chase, Age 88, Former owner and operator of Aurora Chase Mortuary, died Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 in Centennial, Colorado.
She was born July 30, 1921, in Nampa, Idaho, to the late Roy Nathan Gilbert and Ruth Alda Loomer. She was united in marriage to Donald M. Chase in Denver, CO, December 22, 1940.
Mary Margaret graduated from Colorado Women's College in May, 1940 with a two-year degree and Teaching Certificate.
She and Donald held ownership of Aurora Chase Mortuary from 1958-1985
Margaret was a member of Cherry Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She had a full social calendar that included memberships in the Colorado Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Eastern Star, Aurora Women's Club, Denver Lyric Opera Guild and Aurora Historical Society. Margaret had a passion for music especially opera and playing the piano.
Margaret is survived by sons Donald and wife Sandra (Bothell, WA), and Gregg and Mary Anne (Aurora, CO); Six grandchildren Libby (Mrs. Kevin) Germer (Richmond, VA), Daniel Chase (Shoreline, WA), Elsa Chase (Aurora, CO), Johanna Chase (Los Angeles, CA) Monte Chase (Spokane, WA) and Laura Chase (Aurora, CO); One great-grandchild Isaiah Chase Germer; Brother George Gilbert (Sandusky, Ohio), She was preceded in death by spouse Donald M. Chase, her parents and her brothers Edward and Leroy (Nampa, ID).
Funeral services for Margaret Chase will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church at 3 P.M. on Sunday, September 20, 2009, 11373 E Alameda Ave., Aurora, CO 80012-1023. Friends and Family are welcomed at Bullock Mortuary, 1375 East Hampden Avenue, Englewood, CO 80113, Friday, September 18 from 7 pm- 9 pm and Saturday, September 19 from 3 pm- 5pm. Internment will be held Monday, September 21 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd Denver, CO 80235, at staging area B, at 2:30 pm.
