Marjorie Josephine Marcus

June 6, 1916 ~ July 23, 2013
Marjorie Josephine Marcus, surrounded by love, peacefully passed away on July 23, 2013. She was born on June 6, 1916 in Sedalia, Colorado. Through her life Marjorie had many interests and talents. She was a seamstress sewing wedding dresses, school clothes, dance costumes and more. She was a talented artist teaching her family to enjoy art as well. She loved all things Indian. She designed and beaded Indian fetishes, collected and wore Indian jewelry and painted Indian subject matter. She was a collector of shells from coast to coast and was a rock hound in Arizona. Her house boasts hundreds of owls, a collection added to by family from places throughout the world. She was a pioneer female tractor driver back when women didn't do that. With Daddy she was an early RVer traveling the United States. But most of all she was the much loved Mom and Grandmother matriarch of our family, returning love to each of us a thousand fold while making each one of us feel so very special.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, George H. Marcus and grandson Allen Cavender. Her most treasured possessions being her family, she wanted each one to be recognized.
