Marie Jean (Jeanne) Graham, age 79, of Centennial, Colorado went to Heaven Thursday, September 20, 2012.
Jeanne was born in Meckling, South Dakota on August 31, 1933 to Ernest Glen and Mary Matilda Young. She has 2 loving sisters, Ruby (Jack) Vandiver of Cabool, Missouri and Marlyn (Bill) Lee of Belle Fouche, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Earl Edward, her mother, father brother, Bobby and her son Billy Joe.
While working as a switchboard operator in the small mountain town of Deadwood, South Dakota, she caught the attention of a young war hero upon his return from Korea. On October 7, 1955 they were married and soon after, began their adventures of traveling the country in search of the perfect place to settle down.
They welcomed their 1st son, Billy Joe (Penny) on July 18, 1956 in Deadwood. On July 10, 1957, their daughter Mary Jean (Fred) was born in Orange County, California. Cindy Faye was born in Spearfish, South Dakota on January 13, 1960, and Sherri Lynn (Michael) came into the world on August 24, 1964 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Edward Glen completed the family on February 26, 1967 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Graham Clan moved to Arvada, Colorado from Orlando Florida in 1971. Jeanne had various jobs throught the years, but she loved working with Corrine Kaston as her personal assistant/secretary. They managed a multi-state district for Home Interiors Corporation. In 1982, Jeanne and Earl entered the world of property management and once again, took to the road to troubleshoot properties in Colorado, Texas & California. Upon retirement in 1995, they moved back home to Colorado.
Jeanne was committed to instilling her Biblical values in her children. Despite their continual relocations, they managed to be involved in many church activities. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and wanted nothing more than to ensure those she loved had a personal relationship with Him, too. She touched many lives with her genuine concern and words of encouragement. Jeanne was a woman of prayer, and fought countless battles on her knees.
Jeanne's true treasures were her 5 children, 10 grandchildren; Jennifer (Alex), Janine (Curtis), Adam (liz), Chad (Stephanie), Jonathon, Lacie (Jaron), Noel, Brad, Austin, & Jake, and her 6 great - grandchildren; Austin, Hailey, Joshua, Gracie, Landon & Romulus.
She was deeply loved, and will forever remain in our hearts.
Funeral service were held on Friday, September 28, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at the Bullock Colonial Chapel. Interment following at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
