Margaret Irene (Marge) Stewart, 82, of Sterling, Colorado passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Sterling, Colorado.

 

Marge was born on May 24, 1935 in Sterling, Colorado to Joseph and Olympe (Leblanc) Schutte.

 

She attended school at St. Anthony’s in Sterling, Colorado graduating in 1952.

 

On April 18, 1953 she married Wilfred Unrein at St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Sterling, Colorado and they were married for 13 years. They had 6 children: Rick, Bruce, Lisa, and Steve. Twins Rodney and Douglas were lost shortly after birth.

 

On October 19th, 1983 she married Cal Stewart in Denver, Colorado and he passed on November 27th, 2007.  She moved back to Sterling in 2013.

 

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

 

Marge brought joy to many people and always lived life to the fullest. She was a good cook and enjoyed sharing meals with friends and family. She loved doing things with her grandchildren and spoiled them whenever possible. She loved to play Bingo, cards, and other games with friends and family and would do so whenever possible.

 

She is survived by children Rick (Diana) Unrein of Fleming, Colorado, Bruce (Joan) Unrein of Fleming, Colorado, Lisa Anderson of Houston, Texas, Steve (Sharon) Unrein of Brighton, Colorado, Pat (Lyndoll) Stewart of Manford, Oklahoma, Chris (Terri) Stewart of Durant, Oklahoma, Carrie Stewart of Durant, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Brother George (Algretta) Schutte of Monroe, Wisconsin, Sister Vivian (Norman) Raines of Campe Verde, Arizona and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by twin sons Rodney and Douglas Unrein, husband Cal Stewart, Brothers Al, Art, Ray, Bernard, Daniel (Dutch), Bill and Joe Schutte, Sisters Dolores Chambers, Genny Dale,  and Yvonne Schroer.

 

A celebration of life service was held in Englewood on Monday, March 5th, 2018.  Memorials can be made in her name to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society and mailed c/o Rick Unrein P.O. Box 512 Fleming Colorado, 80728.
