Ode to Mamma San*
How to say
It’s ok, it’s ok
Let go
And fly away
Knowingly
We took stand
We fought hard
Hand in hand
Your strength
None can see
But you shared
Your truth with me
I need to say
It’s ok, it’s ok
Let go
And fly away
Once again
Love does call
Be free mamma san
I will not fall
These words
I cannot say
But I know
You cannot stay
Be free my friend
I will see you again
It’s ok, it’s ok
Fly away, fly away
* San is a term of respect, from the book Shogun
My deepest sympathy and thoughts are with you. Marci made such an impact on my life so many years ago that left me with many memories that I will cherish forever. Deva, Chandra and Ricky…you were so little when I was in your life and it is wonderful to see you all grown up. Your Mom did a wonderful job raising you!
Your mom was funny, excitable, and full of life. I remember walking up to her door and introducing myself, Chandra and Ryan were almost the same age and we were both pregnant, her with Ricky, me with Katie. Have pictures of us having an Easter Egg hunt in my yard. Many fond memories of your mom, and many fun times. Your all in my thoughts and prayers…Colleen
