Louan Moody Weiss, age 72, passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2026. She was born
on April 25, 1953, to Louis and Joan Moody and spent her childhood in Norfolk, Nebraska.
After graduating from Norfolk High School, she attended Doane College (now Doane University)

I met Louan when she was 23 and we had a friendship over many decades. We supported each other through our 20’s, 30’s and into our 40’s – sometimes tumultuous years, but also fun years. She was kind, caring, and generous (years of being an extra “Santa” to my little girl). May she rest in peace.
Thank you so much, Georgia, for your kind words, and support to Louan throughout the years.
Thank you so much, Mickie.
Happy birthday to you, Aunt Louan! I love you!
So Dear. Thank you for the memory.
I was in the 1971 high school class with Louan.
Later I worked at Norfolk Public Library and became acquainted with her mother, Joan, who was one of our regular patrons.
Joan often spoke of her children and was very proud of them.
My sincere condolences.
Thank you so much, Judy. So kind of you! We sincerely appreciate your thoughtful memories.
Aww. How sweet of you to say so! Thank you!
