Linda Dianne Baswell

The world lost the most stubborn person on the planet on March 11th. Linda Dianne Baswell born December 17, 1947. She was born and raised in Denver, CO. After a short time in California she came back and settled in Louisville where she raised her children. She is survived by her two sisters Barb and Debbie, her three children Ron, Pam, and Randal, seven grandchildren Trevor, Hattie, Brandalin, Arikk, Patrick, Shane, and Sioban, two step-grandchildren Haley and Alexander, and four great grandchildren. She loved her family very much.

Linda loved her job. She dedicated 37 years to her Denver Post career. She worked 18-20 hours every day almost until her passing. Her customers and colleagues loved and respected her. She took the time to get to know them and went out of her way to give the best service possible.

Linda made time to watch her grandchildren in their chosen sports and school activities.  They were the light of her life. When she wasn’t spending time with the grandchildren or working, she enjoyed following Nascar. She knew all the drivers and their stats. One of her rare vacations she got to go to the Daytona 500. She talked about that trip for years.

One of the Linda’s favorite memories from her childhood was the ranch that her grandparents owned in Gypsum, CO. She would tell us stories all of the time about fishing with her dad and riding horses. Those were some of the best times of her life. She wished to have her ashes spread on that ranch.

Services will be held March 27th at Calvary Episcopal Church in Golden, CO.
