Lewis Berger was born and raised in Philadelphia PA. When he was 17 years old he joined the US Navy during WWII and served on two aircraft carriers in 1945 and 1946.
After the service he moved to Los Angeles. He earned his Associate Degree at LA City College, and attended UCLA. He married Patricia Hain of Van Nuys California in 1951. Together they had six children and were married for 64 years.
Lew was in sales most of his adult life, including 27 years as a Regional Sales Manager for General Tire and Rubber Company in California and Colorado.. After he retired from the tire industry in 1984, he Joined Perry And Butler Realty and was a Realtor for 17 years.
Lew loved to fish, travel, read books, the Denver Broncos, and was intrigued with genealogy, and American History. If you knew him, he likely told you a joke or two.
Lew passed away in peace amongst family members. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, Son Lewis Jr. and his daughter Mary Berger Sovine.
He is survived by his daughter Joanne Kissler (Mike), son Donald Berger (Debbie), son Bruce Berger (AuLura Feist), daughter Barbara Banning (Barry), brother Joseph Berger (Mary), and half brother Guy Berger. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren,14 great grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews.
