Lenora Priscilla Grussendorf
Lenora “Priscilla” Grussendorf went to be with her Lord on November 9, 2014 in Englewood Colorado. She had suffered a lengthy illness. She joined her parents Samuel D. and Crystal E. Arrell, her birth father, John A. Sisson, a brother, John A. Sisson Jr., other family, and friends who preceded her in death. Priscilla was affectionately known as “Cill”. She was born in Denver, Colorado 2 ½ months premature on October 15, 1958 to John and Crystal Sisson. She grew up in Englewood, Colorado and attended Clayton Elementary, Sinclair Jr. High, and graduated from Englewood High School. Cill was an extremely kind, loving person who never met a stranger. Everyone whose life she touched was forever changed by her sweet and unpretentious soul. Cill loved to watch “tear-jerkers” and have a good cry. She would even cry at touching commercials and always when saying hello and good bye to friends and family. She enjoyed visiting with everyone that came into her life and after spending even a little time with Cill you knew you were with a special person. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, knitting dishcloths for family and friends, reading, and spending time with others. She volunteered at the local elementary school as a teacher’s aide and worked as a receptionist at an assisted living center where she touched so many lives.
Priscilla met Dan in 1988 at a singles group called, “Talk it Over”, in Abilene, Texas and she married her best friend Dan on July 27, 1991 in Englewood, Colorado. They had their son Kevin on January 16, 1992. Cill is survived by her loving husband of 24 years Dan and their son Kevin of Englewood, Colorado, her daughter Stephanie Martin Paul and husband Andrew Paul from Haughton, Louisiana, Sister Stacia Ellison and husband Paul Ellison and their children Erin, Caitlyn, Seth and Granddaughter Arianna all of Abilene, Texas, sister Melody Stephens and her adult children Tammy Jones and husband Mike, great-grandson Hayden Jones, and James Stephens all of Omaha, Nebraska.
Cill’s life was way too short for those who loved and respected her. She will be dearly missed but one day we will be united again.
Funeral services will be held on Friday 11/14/14 at 1pm at Bullock Mortuary located at 1375 East Hamden Avenue, Englewood, Colorado 80113.
